Ingredients
Kafta
- 8 oz ground beef
- 8 oz ground lamb
- 1 yellow onion
- ½ c flat-leaf parsley leaves
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Lebanese Seven Spice
- Kosher salt
Seven Spice Blend
- 1 Tbsp allspice ground
- 1 Tbsp coriander ground
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon ground
- 1 ½ tsp black pepper ground
- 1 ½ tsp nutmeg ground
- 1 ½ tsp cumin ground
- 1 ½ tsp cloves ground
Instructions
Kafta
- Finely chop onion and parsley. Add to mixing bowl.
- Add meats and spices to chopped parsley/onion mix.
- Knead all ingredients together until well-incorporated.
- Shape into patties, or form around a grilling skewer.
- Grill or sear until charred on the outside and cooked through.
Seven Spice Blend
- Stir spices together and store in airtight container.
Notes
Serve on pita bread with a creamy greek yogurt or hummus.
