Margherita pizza has been a tradition in Naples for more than a century and was popularized when Queen Margherita of Savoy visited the city in the late 1800s. A simple Margherita Pizza, made with fresh basil, mozzarella and tomatoes (in the colors of the Italian flag) is a beautiful thing. Get hands on making and proofing dough, then get some pro tips on rolling out your dough to create the perfect crust. Each person will get a 5oz dough ball, and all the ingredients to make an individual margherita pizza from scratch. We will bake our pizzas together in class and enjoy the flavors of summer together.
